Beckhoff, one of the world’s largest suppliers of automation hardware, and Crossbreed, a provider of smart energy optimization solutions for buildings, have initiated a collaboration for future heating solutions.

Beckhoff and Crossbreed have started a collaboration in intelligent heat control for buildings. The companies have developed a service where Beckhoff’s automation hardware is AI-supported by Crossbreed’s service to perform more efficient heat control of the building while maintaining indoor comfort. The service reduces existing energy consumption by approximately 10-12%. The solution is mainly aimed at system integrators and property owners.

Beckhoff’s control systems today play a central role in the heating of thousands of buildings powered by the powerful TwinCAT software, which enables seamless connection to Crossbreed’s cloud platform. Through this integration, Crossbreed delivers advanced energy optimization services, where optimization parameters are sent directly to the control systems in the buildings to create energy-efficient and demand-adapted operation. Beckhoff’s scalable automation solutions are fully in line with Crossbreed’s vision of delivering smarter energy solutions to the market’s leading players within building automation.

The collaboration will accelerate the rollout of intelligent energy efficiency solutions in the property sector, as the solution is applicable both when replacing the heat control system or as an upgrade of already existing control systems. With this collaboration, both companies will continue to drive innovative solutions in energy-smart buildings.
